SILVER CITY, Miss. (DTN) -- Cool, wet weather is delaying harvest throughout the Midwest, but farther south, a month of near-steady rain has crops rotting in the field.
And it's not just odds and ends leftover in low spots, it's substantial, said Silver City, Miss., farmer Thomas Clay. "I've talked to people who've been farming for 62 years, and they say this is the worst season they've ever seen. I know in my 23 years it's the worst one," Clay said.
